    Talk about "Beauty and the Beast"!

    Both sides are still so beautiful. I'm with Abe. I don't think I'd be that calm standing in front of a spewing volcano!

    Wow, the Volcano is scary but it is a once in a lifetime chances of capturing an exploding volcano.

    Rabaul DP just keeps getting better.
    I would kill to see that volcano, those magnificent waters and what there is to see under them.

    Looks like an interesting place. So much beauty tempered by the ever present threat of volcanic upheaval. I gues we don't find perfection anywhere, not even in paradise

    Takes me back to the big guria there in july, 1971, had been there only three weeks (as a just married 19 year old kiwi gal)and we got hit- eight point 4 with a tidal wave thru the shops and the police station...woo-hoo; no wonder I had the runs! it wuz nerves!!
    I'd love to go back to Rabaul, would go tomorrow given half the chance....
