Unlike on a freeway in the city where you would have a huge overhead sign stating RIVEN 1 km – here in Rabaul we have bent coconut trees to sign the way.
Long shots of front garden? Maybe later? Lot's of dead heading now needed after sudden burst of "super heat". So, maybe in September when second crop appears (and I've dealt with all those remaining weeds).
You're so lucky to be able to explore such an exotic location!

The Goddess In You
hmm @ odd angle .. wow .. I've never seen such a tall tree with such a steep angle
ReplyDeleteYou're just a tease Jules ... now I can't wait to see Riven. But you knew that didn't you?
ReplyDeleteLovely palms too ...
Our family record for "are we nearly there?" is 125 meters.
ReplyDeletem beanaut - Yes I am such a tease - hope you aren't disappointed tomorrow
ReplyDeletechuckeroon - what a laugh - I think you win!!!!!
I've heard that it is more common for women to travel by landmarks than by road signs. (And I've also heard men don't ever ask for directions.)
ReplyDeleteLandmarks do often serve as our signposts.
Men need all the directing we can get..... well thats what my Jane says. ;)
ReplyDeleteGreat picture, I must make a note to look for a bent tree now.
That is TOO beautiful :-)). We cannot compete with you, Jules. You live in paradise :-))
ReplyDeleteNow that is cute...how did you end up in this lovely place?
ReplyDeleteI reckon that the bend is for the kids to sit on when they climb the tree to get coconuts.
ReplyDeleteI wonder what's around the corner?
