.............................................................
Am back in the land of smoking volcanoes and unreliable planes. Yes I did get stuck in Port Moresby and after a 2 a.m. start this morning, I arrived home an hour before I had to be at work - groan!!! As usual I need a week to recover from my holiday. Thanks for all your visits while I was away. I will pop in and say hi as soon as I can - which means after I get a good night's sleep!!!
I see you have come back to life like the volcanoes in your area. Any man who touches a hot stove is going to get burned. Maybe the man is drunk on honey do as in, "Honey do this for me."
ReplyDeleteHello and welcome home. I was very happy to discover blog whilst looking for pictures about Queen Emma. I am an old Rabaul resident -1970-1973. We left when I was 11. I am still coming to terms with the loss of everywhere I lived and went in Rabaul, esdpecially the old airport which sold the best bubble gum in the world! The golden part of my childhood now lies under tonnes of ash. Asides of google, your blog and the photos you have posted of old Rabaul have been the best medicine I could find for the ache in my heart. I guess that sounds melodramatic especially when you guys now have to live with ash all the time but incredibly this has been my reaction to this disaster. Thankyou for sharing your photos and thoughts with us. If you ever go up around the old Vesters St compound with you camera could you please take a photo for me, especially the right hand bottom corner looking towards North Daughter. If you can't do not feel bad. I will continue to enjoy your blog and thankyou again for a little peace. Cherrie
ReplyDeleteWelcome back, Jules! I hope you had a wonderful vacation—though yes, I can understand why you'd need a rest after it too. ;)
ReplyDeleteI don't think I can stand near a smoking volcano—I'd be too terrified.
