I'm late posting today because we have a new baby in the house. I had forgotten how demanding they are!! She seems to have settled in very well........
......and just loves the beach. Her heritage is questionable and her final size and shape will be a surprise but she is adorable. The name is still under discussion. I'm pushing for Jessie but no decision has been made yet. Any ideas????
A beautiful Rottweiler. We have two. They are certainly magnificent dogs. They have a generally injustified bad reputation. But, I always maintain that it is more of a bad owner than a bad rottweiler. If well trained they are splendid companions.
Thanks uselaine - those names are under discussion too!!
Renovator - the funny thing is she isn't rottweiller. her mother is a village dog (Asian dog variety) and her dad is kelpie crossed with village dog and something else. her colouring comes from the kelpie side of the family.
What a cutie, Jules. Jessie's nice. Whatever you call her just make sure it's something you won't feel embarrassed about shouting across a crowded park.
If Jessie was the First name that popped into your head, then She was letting You know what her name should be!hahaaa....She even Looks like a Jessie! Precious!!hughugs
Happy doggy- days! The work always puts us off getting a dog, plus our penchant for travel....we donl't all have a doggy pension like Jilly to take care of our beloveds!!
Jules, Thanks for your kind comment about the Mapplethorpe image. Yes, I do sell my work but if you would like a copy I'd be happy to send you one if you'd agree to pay for the printing (cost depends on the size) and shipping to your part of the world.
I have a printer in Texas that does a wonderful job but it can take as long as two weeks for him to finish an order. Let me know and we can talk. David
Hi All - thanks for your comments and suggestions. It looks like Jess/Jessie it is. We have had little sleep!! Gosh the kids were less distruptive to our sleep!!!Yawn - I am so tired. Whose bloody idea was this?????
Jules: Ooooh, I forgot about ex-pats and housekeepers and the like (not casting nasturtiums - I have a cleaner, but she doesn;t do ovens, or windows, or clean very much really....but a clean toilet and bath and run with the vac over the carpet is heaven -sent nevertheless!)
The word is - are you ready - CENSORED ! They've stuck a big CENSORED over it (actually it's a whole new poster cos the phone number is different) with the S from the previous SEX still partially visible.
I think Jessie is just perfect for that little heart breaker. Puppies are so like babies. When we dog-sat our sons pup, I thought I would never get any sleep. We all survived and she is really sweet anyway. Good luck to you and yours.
Irresistible! Love the photos and look forward to more as she grows up and takes over the household. Seriously, don't let her and she'll be the happier for it. Jessie is the name. It's a lovely name. Feminine yet has strength - an old fashioned feel to it. All good.
May she bring you lots of happiness and love, dear Jules. I know she will and what a lucky pup to land on your doorstep.
Hey Jules, is this the world famous diver dog from Papua Neuguinea ? On the third picture he/she looks as if he/she was snorkeling - somehow :) I have never seen such a cute dog, not even in the zoo! I wish you much pleasure with this sweetie! Thx for visiting!
I'm on dial-up and the pictures loaded slow...so I was reading along and thinking there was going to be a people baby, until I got to the last paragraph...LOL
How cute is she???!!!! Adorable....and already in the water....nice.I have a Tessie and that seems to have worked well...so I will push for Jessie for you!
What a sweetie wading into the water with such trust! Ooh! There's a name: Trusty.

ReplyDeleteCall her something like Gertrude. She is pretty as were all the Gertrudes. For short the name translates to "Girty."

ReplyDeleteGood luck for the first year but with the proximity of the sea it should be easier!
