War toys in Kokopo Museum

On display in the grounds of the Kokopo Museum is this Japanese triple barrel anti-tank and aircraft canon that spat out 300 rounds a minute. Sounds pretty deadly.

It is also the final resting place of WWII aircraft found in the jungles here. I know nothing about war planes – does this one look familiar to anyone???

I have visited a few blogs today that have been very moving, both by picture and by words. I have learned so much about the places I visit daily from the comfort of my chair, but the emotions are real.

Looks like a real interesting museum. Don't know about the plane, and not quite sure I would admit it if I were old enough to tell.

Wow. Trouble in paradise.
Thanks for the reminder, Jules.
And yes, it looks like a Zero to me, too.

The guns look very forbidding, and after watching _The War_ the past few nights, I realize their power.
