Gosh what a couple of fantastic photos. The second, so dramatic! The first, utterly beautiful. Can i come there? :)
Both pictures are stunning.
I would have to change my shorts if I was standing there and saw that bottom picture. Wow.
I trust you.
Wild beauties.
Talk about "Beauty and the Beast"!
Both sides are still so beautiful. I'm with Abe. I don't think I'd be that calm standing in front of a spewing volcano!
Wow, the Volcano is scary but it is a once in a lifetime chances of capturing an exploding volcano.
Woohoo!
Our stupid hills don't do that.
It's not fair.
Brilliant, as always, Jules.
I like both photos too!
Oh, the water is so so clear!
Happy Theme Day!
Rabaul DP just keeps getting better.
I would kill to see that volcano, those magnificent waters and what there is to see under them.
Happy Theme Day to you, to HWDB and to Benson.
And to the gang in the Land Down under.
Vos photos sont merveilleuses ! Merci.
Such a contrast! As usual both photos are outstanding.
Great juxtaposition. From the calm of the blue water to that amazing eruption. Great post!
Fantastic pictures.. as always.
What an interesting contrast between the two photos as well as concepts.
Wonderful pictures - as always! Actually I knew next to nothing about Rabaul and PNG until I found your blog, so for me what your city is known for is Rabaul DP!
It's the volcano that I remember and, hey girlfriend...you failed to mention the BUGS --that are gigantic gonormous! Nice photo!
Nice and gorgeous choises !
that's a pretty cool site .. cool and frightening. From all the things you mentioned, this one (volcano) is natural.
Both shots are wonderful!
You always have such stunning photos...and a beautiful area for inspiration, too!
Great captures.
The photos bring back so many memories of Indonesia/West Papua. I love love the warm coastal waters.
Stunning is the only word for it. Amazing to live in such a gorgeous place!
I like how you compared the photos. Love the first one.
WOW! Two incredible photos.
Looks like an interesting place. So much beauty tempered by the ever present threat of volcanic upheaval. I gues we don't find perfection anywhere, not even in paradise
What wonderful blue water! I hope to visit that someday!
Great shots, Jules! I am sure you love where you live right now. Want some snow?
Do swing by Norwich Daily Photo!
