Mt Hagen Daily Photo
My phone lines are back, but my computer (with all my photos) isn't. So it will have to be Mt Hagen Daily Photo until the doctor says my 'puter can come home again!!!
Soaring pines, eucalyptus, azaleas, gladiolas, lilies etc abound.
All these photos were taken at the Highlander Hotel where I stayed
with only my zoom lens - my other one is dead -
not having a good run am I???
I can't remember shooting an albatross ...must have????

Mt Hagen's terrain reminds me of Wamena in Papua, which is perfectly reasonable. It's all beautiful, isn't it!
The place looks like heaven. Nice flower picture too.
It looks like a very nice place to visit. In fact it looks like yet another bit of paradise in PNG.
Hi All -thanks for popping in
Beautiful trees and flowers from you Jules. So sorry to hear bout your lens and puter, hope you get fized soon.
thanks for visiting my blog and your kind comments.
beautiful images from a beautiful place, excellent.
Gladioli? Scrivens. Now my mind is filled with images of Dame Edna and Morrissey, a scary combination but both huge glad-fans.
Great pictures Jules and as always your humour will get you by.. :O)
surprised to see the glads! how nice! (I should have said Glad to see the Glads..)
These are beautiful! Sorry about your run of bad luck. Looks like you are making the best of things!
I am enjoying these pictures! But I hope your camera and computer come back to you in one piece very soon.
These are all very nice photographs, Jules. I especially liked the last one.
Beautiful shots. I hope all your problems get solved soon.
Hi All - 'puter is still in intensive care. Lens is dead.
Yes Dive - I thought the same thing. My PNG colleague from Bougainville had never seen them!!!
Thanks for that comment on my story--I wondered if it was too gruesome--I was trying to be informative--and sometimes we forget that there have always been big disasters-- looking back at the NY Times in the 1800's there were scads of them reported from all over the world. We seem to think there are more disasters now, but the tragedies were often man made back in "olden times." although there were plenty of natural disasters reported back then too--sometimes several in the same month--just like "nowadays".
Chedwick posted that you were a favorite (yesterday)

Cool mountain air sounds good to me.
All looks so lush up in the highlands, but there again, it's probably lush EVERYWHERE in PNG, except the places where Aussie resources companies have visited!
I called back to see if there was news from your PC Woes.. sorry to see there is still no change.
Wow the hotel looked so lovely and relaxing.
