Friendly farm workers

This photo was taken as I half fell out of the car in my rush to catch these very friendly farm workers. We were on the road near Liam's place, along where I found the houses in my last post.

These farm workers were most excited when they saw my camera - yahooing and waving in enthusiasm.

If I jumped out of a car and took photos of farm workers in your area what would they do??

I think that most of our farm workers would most likely wave and smile. And at my friend's farm he would smile and wave too.

I think they would just ignore me. I love the exhuberance of the photos.

Very cool photo, Jules! The luxury green is amazing and the joy of the workers too! Don't expect such a reaction here... :-)

Well, - having spent so much time in France recently, I reckon that the French would kidnap you, and take you to their local coffee shop and quizzz you.

They would shout about with laughter when you told them that as a youngster, you used to ride to school, about 5 miles each day, on your pet kangaroo and after school you would just whistle him up to be taken home again.

Why don't these "foreigners" believe us Jules.
Aussies never tell porkies, now, do they ???

Well, never in France. Me; - never !!

Hi All - not sure if you are having problems but my photos just won't up load properly - I can only see half of this photo - mumble, mumble!!!!

MB - I think you are telling porkies - kangaroos - Mon Dieu!!!! I rode to school on my pet goanna. Took me 6 hours each way God that goanna was a pain. Keep running up trees and I was always late and my homework was spread all over the paddocks.

Funny thing was my teacher didn't believe me either!!!!

Jules, everything is loud and clear from where I'm looking from.

I would have liked to have been a goanna back then !

Hi Jules! What are they farming there? I have a vague recollection from 1996 of being at VUDAL which had something to do with dairy and livestock. (All I saw was the library.)

I think that our farm workers would act the same way... especially if they were in a wagon (or back of a truck) heading to another farm... catch them in the field, though, and they might be too busy or too tired to do much waving.

I've heard others say they are having troubles loading phots this week too. Your photo comes up perfect for me. Maybe Blogger is fixed.

I think here you would get a much cooler reception from farm workers. The people in Rabaul in all your photos look so friendly and fun loving. Too bad more people weren't like that.

He everyone!!!!

Colleen - thanks my dear!! After the last month it has kinda caught up on me. I am counting back these days so that makes me feel better!!! The girls are taller than me, everything is heading south and when something moves it doesn't go back to its original spot - bummer!!!! Lunch with the girls and a couple of friends and then the evening is still up for grabs. Can't fly over can you?????

Thanks Donna - the buggars sneak up on you every year don't they!!!!

MB - He! He! He!

Hi Bergson - on my blog of course!!!!

Don - there is a lot of balsa, copra and cocoa up there so one or all I guess.

Clueless - yes we are lucky around here most people are very friendly!!!!

ancient one - glad your farm workers are friendly too!!!
The uploading is driving me nuts. Some photos do and some don't and then in the editing you can't see the damn things when they do upload so you don't know whether they are there or not!!!! Grrrrr!!!

Not sure what farm workers in CA would do if I tried to take their photo; probably not be this excited as these guys. Love all the lush green! Things are slowly starting to turn green here, but we haven't had much rain.

That's a truck full of party, Jules.
Farm workers around here are cold and miserable.

Well, I'll be the one to say it - They look like the finale of a musical stage performance! Look at the arrangement of those arms! The beaming smiles! Are you sure this isn't the touring road show of "South Pacific"?!

What a wonderful picture Jules! I just love the friendly spirit here and the luscious greenery.

I think m.benaut has everything sorted out for what the reaction would be in France. Good on him!

Your volcano shot of a few days ago was as good as it gets. I must say I'd quite like to see that.

And yesterday's post for Liam was just wonderful. Isn't it amazing what blogging does to the world? Bringing together communities in the most amazing ways!!!

They know how to greet a pretty (no doubt you were smiling too) person. Men LOVE getting their picture taken I notice--they ask me to take a pic of them when they see me with a camera. Women never ask (except when drunk --)

I don't know what they'd do! I think they'd be too tired to wave, or they'd be afraid I was with Immigration and they'd hide.

These guys look happy to see you!

Hi Jules,
Great photo! So happy!
If I took a photo of farm-workers here they would do the same as your's, as Brazilians are such happy and charming people too. I feed off of their energy here and also the energy that this beautiful country gives me, you can feel it in the air... x
