You light up my life.
The storm from yesterday's post arrived later in the evening and put on a great light display.
This is my first attempt at lightning photos using a tripod and time exposure, and this was the only decent one I got.

I've tried many a time to capture lightening but without success. I bet you were well pleased with the results.
This is an awesome picture! Wonderful job!!
Great photo, Jules. Well done. Hope you are having a great holiday. Just caught up with some of your postings. Fascinting as always.
Great catch! I've tried to get photos of lightening before too and I kept waiting and waiting and caught nothing but gray cloud photos.
Lovely shot, Jules. Hope you're having a great holiday
Great photo of the lightning for your first effort. Is it thunderstorm season now in Rabaul? We've had a few already, but our thunderstorm season doesn't really take off till mid-October. I'm so sorry I missed catching up with you, Jules, when you were in Brisbane.
Well, for first attempt it's quite good.
Remembered my of "Thunder" by AC/DC...
Holy Moly Denton! That's a stunning photograph!
Y' done good, Jules. Mighty nice shot !!
Even Benson said so, tonight as he crawled out from under the bed.
I am not sure if I could do this either but you did a great job here!
It's fabulous Jules, I've never had a camera with me when there has been a storm here.
