Moon Series
We had a friend for dinner last night and while we were on the veranda the moon popped out from behind the clouds.
I didn't have time for a tri-pod or time exposure or any fancy stuff - I just took a series of photos as it appeared, on automatic, and this was pretty much what it looked like!!! .
Didn't hear any wolves howling.......

Now these are just stunning, Jules. Well done.
wow! Hmmm...can't beat an automatic camera :-) Paulette
I like them too! That last one with the moon casting a silvery glow is my favourite.
You're so fortunate to have such a beautiful view! :)
What great pictures! I need some instruction on how to do night shooting with my point and shoot digital!!
We were hoping to have a full moon aussi, but you guys, being east of us, got it first.
In any case, we start daylight saving 2nite, so now we are even !!!
I love your yellow downpipe, it complements the moonlight. You guys are so colour-coordinated.
By the way, Jules, your moon shots are beautiful. There are so many romantic things to see in the moonlight, not just downpipes !
Middle one is my favourite...don't ask me why...maybe the hint of something concealed in the half light of the moon...or maybe I've had one beer too many with my friends this arvo!
Absolutely magikal, Jules. These are really atmospheric, beautiful shots. If this doesn't make people want to come and visit these places to glimpse nights like then that, then nothing will...
Planet Earth Daily Photo.
.....and no native drums beating? Gad, Carruthers, it's the heat I tell you, and those eternal drums!!
We now eat food for dinner as we are fastly running out of friends Jules.. I hope yours tasted better than the English do... ha! LOL
Beautiful pictures Jules, Gold old Point and shoot.. All three are stunning and I'd be pleased to have took any one of them.. Ha!
I have got just the picture to post for you tonight... I'll post it just after midnight in honour of you Jules. ha!
Oh my gosh. Now you're just rubbing salt in the wounds, Jules!
Hee hee.
How I wish that was the view from my balcony, not that I have a balcony!!!!
How Beautiful!!! envy,envy,envy...lol
Awesome pictures
Great captures. Some times the best one are last-minute and unplanned.
wow! They are stunning just as they are.
Derrr - I am really slow - I only just got your comment old tom - I thought you were sick - you are tooo sharp to be sick!!!
Luckily we have a plethora of friends to choose from!!!!
Hopped over here from OWT's blog. These are stunning shots! I love them all.
I had to come and look, because of Tom Wigley's site. I was laughing and expected to see your friend. Oh, I forgot he was your dinner last night. LOL. I like the shots of the sunsets.
Looks like you didn't need a tripod or any fancy exposure techniques! These are terrific, and make me terribly envious. I'll trade you a whole big bag full of fall leaves in every color for a moonlight view like that and a garden filled with fabulous blooms :)
great shots!
Jules-you may have teaching talents but your photography talents are something else. That middle moonshot is surely award winning! Just beautiful! Please enter it in a competition some time?
