Superb and interesting photos as always. Can you let us know what is happening with the Kokoda Track as of this date?
Thanks for your visits to my blog. It’s always a pleasure to see you have stopped by.
It's so beautiful there! I wouldn't mind living in a village far from the noise and the odors of cars and far from other nuisances :-))
Thank you for visiting my blog, dear Jules. Have a great Sunday. I'm going to see my granddaughter.
Hi Marcel - Kokoda is open with promises on both sides not to mine it and to keep it open. They have also promised that the village people along the track will be helped financially . Let's hope promises are kept by all parties.
Marie - Have a wonderful time with your beautiful granddaughter!!!!
Jules
Drop me your email address to percy@huttruverprovince.net and I will pass on a few photo's
Interesting photography of a famous battle ground during the war years. I am amazed that it is so nice. And I wonder if there are still any old men or women who remember the occupation by the Japanese or people who survived the war years. They would be quite old now but we still have a lot of WWII vets here though they are getting up there.
It looks like paradise, Jules.
Let's hope the people get the help they need.
If you live a village life such as this, then you might as well go one that is set in such beauty.. what views they must have.

What a peaceful place. I wouldn't mind moving in for say... six weeks.
Good news on the Kokoda!
What a peaceful scene. Beautiful!
Your eerie orange sky yesterday was just stunning and your "number" for theme day was one of the most creative (and funny) I've seen! Kudos!
What a beautiful place..I'm envious.
A very peaceful village and I enjoyed your vietnam blog very much.
A village which gives envy to go on holiday in the peace
Hi All
Thanks Percy - have sent you off a email. Looking forward to the photos.
Abraham - yes there are and one particular old man has become quite a celebrity with the trekkers.
Beautiful photos Jules.
Thanks for all your visits and comments on my blog
Superb photos.
Great colours also.
As well as peaceful and serene, I imagine that the climate in these hilly areas is cooler than where you live. It looks simply serene and lush. Great photos, Jules.
looking at that top pic-- are there treks for tourists?
Are tourists fearful (asking about large bugs and things?) I'd like to trek maybe 5 hours through the top pic.
Fabulous! The first picture makes me think a little bit about this. It has that same exotic, magnificient, adventurous dimension.
What a fascinating place. It seems so tranquil and lush.
Has the volcano finally quieted down?
Hi Everyone
Yes Squirrel if you Google Kokoda Track you will find lots of treks that go for 3 to 10 days. it is very tough and has become a rite of passage for many Australians.
Hi photowannabe - no the volcano is puffing away and we got ash again today!!!
M B - during the day it is hot and humid but much cooler at night!!!
It looks like a complete escape from hustle and bustle. Can we see a bit of your home at some point? That would be interesting.
