"I was simply restless, quite likely because of a dissatisfaction with the recent trajectory of my life, and if there is a better, more compelling reason for dropping everything and moving to the end of the world, I don't know what is."

beautiful images and a beautiful place.
Awesome shots, real eye catchers.
I love the sky! Such gorgeous colors.
I'm back from my travels and settled in to school routine, so I'll have more opportunities to stop by and get my daily dose of 'New Guinea' to remind me of Papua.
Beautiful storm clouds there Jules! I am waiting for a storm here in Northern California. Can you send some rain my way?
These clouds have so much beautiful character! Stunning!
Impressive clouds! You must have felt so small walking under them! They reflect the power of the nature!
Amazing skyscape. You have captured this wonderfully. Two thumbs up.
I take my comment back from last week. Those skies in the opposite direction are just as beautiful.
Great catch for Skywatch! Mine's up too hope you can visit... Happy weekend!
that first photo is just stunning, the way the light is coming through the cloud.
Stunning! I'm glad you turned around. ;-)
Happy Sky Watch!
Wow! I always like the same direction, but this is pretty spectacular! Terrific captures!

Neat sky colors way down and out there.
Looks like any direction you walk yields beautiful views. Thanks for sharing this one. Happy SWF

As it it was coming out of a big chimney!
Have a nice weekend!

Oh, Jules, those are wonderful!
I just got home last night and haven't put up a sky watch...just trying to catch a few of my favorites. I always really enjoy yours.
Very lovely colors! A nice place to walk to see....
So glad you went for that walk so you could share these beautiful images. Breath-taking.

Glad you went the oposite direction! That's fantastic, Jules!
Jules: What a vey neat Sky you caprured for SWF.
Sheer magic, I hope the clouds did not weigh you down. I'd hate the thought of you standing there like Atlas holding up that batch of low (but very beautiful) heavy clouds.
That is glorious. Heaven has the most elegant of robes!
So oppressive ! How is it possible to escape. Breathtaking on the both senses.
The strenght of Nature and elements compared to ours is disproportional!
Wow Jules just breathtaking...x
Jules, very beautiful photos. Thanks for sharing.
Hi Jules! Here I am to enjoy your lovely blog on my weekly visit! It happens to be on Saturday when your post is crowded with comments after the sky watch, but other days are more difficult to me... ;)
And this week we have again some wonderful pictures.
The skies, always with some clouds, are awesome! The Doors are amazing, but the kid with the phone book (it could be a yellow pad for a future lawyer ;)) is my favourite!
Coconut fuel? What a wastefulness... ;))
Look forward to reading you at Blogtrotter, now back in Chania!
Have a great weekend!
Whoa! These are terrifc. Your skies really are dramatic.
