"I was simply restless, quite likely because of a dissatisfaction with the recent trajectory of my life, and if there is a better, more compelling reason for dropping everything and moving to the end of the world, I don't know what is."

I hate markets when they are busy and this looks very very busy ...
Nice shots .
I bet that market is fantastic... I can imagine all the different stuff they sell over there!
The photo of the guy with no rush is so cool!!! Great capture!
Have a nice flight and enjoy your week back home. See you.
Dennis loves you! Have fun !
Hi Jules,
I was sitting here looking at the photo of a smoking Tavurvar that I took from the other side of the harbor in 1996 and wondered what's happening in Rabaul. So I Googled and one of the first links was your daily photo. Thanks ever so much for providing that service.
Safe journey, Jules! I hope you'll be free of any pushing and shoving.
Wow that looks crowded. It gives me claustrophobia.
have a good trip and look forward to your return.
don - my pleasure!!! Lots of ex-Rabaulites pop in to see what is happening. if you want me to take of photo of anything please ask. If you click on my Rabaul Extra Photos Blog you will see some photos taken of Rabaul for a lady who used to live there. But we have had terrible ash lately and it doesn't look like that anymore. Have you clicked on my older posts at the bottom - there are some recent photos of rabaul taken last month.
Cheers
Thanks everyone - take care and catch ya next week.
I hope you have a great trip!
Those are some serious dreadlocks!!!Have a great trip...
Whoa, it's hard enough to fight for space in transportation, but to be carrying loads of stuff too…
Cool dreadlocks on that guy!
Have a safe and wonderful trip, Jules!
That first picture made me break out in hives...I hate a crowd scene!
Have a great time in Oz, Jules.
