Mask Moth
This moth was on the screen door the other day. I don't know what type it is but it has a colourful PNG mask on the back of it!!!!
"I was simply restless, quite likely because of a dissatisfaction with the recent trajectory of my life, and if there is a better, more compelling reason for dropping everything and moving to the end of the world, I don't know what is."

If I put this mask would be I attracted by the light ?
If you wore this mask Bergson, someone might throw a shoe at you !!
Hi Jules. It's been a culture shock returning down under and the re-adjustment has been very slow.
I returned from France with just under 8000 photos and I'm so glad I did. There were so many highlights, and yes, one in particular. At the moment I am slowly posting a little of everything and bedtime has extended into the 'oui' hours.
It's great to see you popping in, here.
But, I'm not even half way !!
Thanks so much.
You don't happen to have a native recipe for beetle soup ??
Give Benson a big pat - pour moi aussi !!!!
It is a nice looking moth. I never saw one like this before. Is it just in your area?
Gosh, that's so pretty, Jules.
Bergson - I think you just might He! He! He!
Abe - I've never seen one before so am hoping someone can tell me!!! Watch this space!!!
Ah M B - so nice to hear from you - i was worried you had been crushed under the weight of the photos!! We took 2 000 in Vietnam in 2 weeks so I guess I understand!!!!
Benson is not happy - he got beaten up by The Mean Cat from next door and has a slashed stomach - am going to have to buy him capsicum spray!!!!
Dive - yeah neat hey!!!!
What a moth! Why is it moths are scary and butterflies aren't? I don't like big moths flying around my bedroom at night. This is a beauty, none-the-less but please keep him in Rabaul.
Now, that's a beautiful pattern! Glad you have shown us.
I KNEW it was going to be a bug I just KNEW it!!! If I tell you I was sitting WWWAAAAYYYY back on at computer....are you laughing yet????
Bugs and volcanes and the earth moving under your feet.....yep...MUCH more adventurous than I!!! Thanks I enjoyed that!
What a tatoo but the moth needs a mirror!
Beautiful close up, Jules!
Hi Kelly & Therese & JM
Neva - he! he! he! Knew you'd love it!!!!
Jilly - this one was outside and stayed there until it disappeared. But you are right butterflies aren't scary are they??
Hey! You discovered the ancient origins of Halloween!
Wow, this moth is so beautiful. If it is huge, then I will be very afraid...lol. Yes, the back really looked like a mask.
Elaine - you are right!!! Can I sell it???
Alice - you wouldn't have been afraid - it was just sitting there (for 2 days actually) and was very quiet!!!!
Hi Jules! Amazing Mask!
Interesting to see the road work progress...
Now, I bet you won’t discover where Blogtrotter has landed, until you get there to see… ;) Enjoy, comment and have a great rest of the week!
I just LOVE this photo! How cool to capture such a close-up of a bug, especially once with such great colors, and that little face on it. Wowza!!
