"I was simply restless, quite likely because of a dissatisfaction with the recent trajectory of my life, and if there is a better, more compelling reason for dropping everything and moving to the end of the world, I don't know what is."

Crikey, that's just too magnificent for words.
One minute after midnight.
Don't forget, a girl needs her beauty sleep, blogging is such a trap, ain't it.
Okay, okay. Now I'm going to go home and slam all the doors.
This should be a template for how to do it! Fire in the Sky indeed and what a fire! Just fantastic photograhs. Congratulations Jules. I'm in awe.
Oh my goodness, I think I had a glimpse of Heaven.
Wow...

Fabulous! I know you hate it when the internet goes down there, but at least you can sit and gawk at the amazing sky. I just want to sit and stare at your photos on my computer really really hand and try to magically transport myself there!

That is an amazing view out your door. Beautiful, beautiful.
These are very intruiging, Jules. I think it is the little island that adds the mystery. A silhouette will do it every time for me.
Magnificent. What a image for me to wake up to here.

M B - Keep the lid screwed on tight, pop it in the freezer (to keep them fresh) and I'll work out how to get them here!!!
Jules that sky is nothing short of amazing! Beautiful my dear girl.
Thank you so much for the well wishes. I think every tropical island has some sort of connection. There are always so many similarities, even if there are no cultural or historical connections at all.
One of the reasons I stopped was because I just couldn't find time to post, answer the comments and go visiting throughout the CDP community! :-) I will be visiting more regularly now. I've missed out on so many of your pictures that I now have to go back through the archives!
Talk about a sunset walk. If that doesn't soothe the soul, then the soul can't be soothed.
Fantastic Sky Watch, Jules!
Ann - will miss visiting your wonderful island but hope you can pop in and say hi so we don't lose contact!!!!
Steve & Louis - many thanks!!!
There's nothing like palms against a sunset...simply stunning. Love your dunnies, mum and dad and sense of humour. Last week's skywatch piccies were bonza too.
Oh my! Can I come for a visit? What beautiful colors with wonderful surroundings. Excellent pictures.
Wow those colors are breath taking!
