Day to be in Bed

It started raining here on New Year's Eve and it has been raining on and off ever since.

Everything is grey and damp and cool. A good day to be in bed.

Phone lines were terrible yesterday and today, so forgive me if I haven't done a lot of visiting.

On Vietnam - same, same but different, there are also wet photos - of a typhoon crossing the coast of Vietnam at Lang Co!!

It looks like your weather is about the same as ours except it's colder here with snow mixxed in the rain. But we too have been having lots of wind. I like your photos today!

Wow, seems like you're right about that. Stay inside and be safe. There's a zigzagging palm tree that is just too amazing.

stay safe and cozy , candles, a good book, some tea,
and also remember -don't forget to nap.

I, for one, could use a good dose of storms. Here in Paris when it rains it's so wimpy, not like in S. Florida where a storm is a storm, and yes, a hurricane is a disaster. Love the shots Jules.

Rain on an island is a blessing if there isn't much or any natural water there. I always think about the island being flooded. LOL, but think that is foolish as it all runs off and raising the ocean level with a few days rain isn't likely to happen. So I quit worrying.

I like your moody photography. Also wondered why the palms have kinks in their trunks.

Thanks for visiting.

I hope your phone lines are up and you are able to get where you want to go.

We've had nothing but blue skies here lately; it's getting a bit boring. I love your photos - so much character.

I'd rather have that rain than the weather we're getting here. It's so bitter cold.

Rain, rain go away...come again another day...
We are suppose to have a huge weather system come in this afternoon with heavy rains here on the West coast of California and blizzard conditions in the Sierra Nevada Mountains....so I agree that its a day to be in bed....

Snuggle up nice and warm and let the storm pass Jules.

I hope the phone lines hold up for you.

Hi All

Abe - twisted trunks are quite common here - i think the saplings get twisted around stuff and they just grow like that - not very scientific I know. we have plenty of water here - underground and rivers etc but the sea levels are slightly higher than when we first got here but my feet are still dry - don't worry!!!

Dr Filo - so glad you dropped in - i lost your link. Will try to get over and visit but i think the phone lines don't like the water!!
See how we go.

Looks windy and cool but it still looks wonderful! We - who are lucky to live in great climates - go into hibernation as soon as the weather changes, don't we? At least I do. Today in Menton it's raining, windy and cold and I ain't goin' nowhere yet compared to some places it's really OK.

Nice photos.

The weather has been bad in Montpellier for a few days too. And I have had a sort of flu!!!!!!

Happy New Year to you, Jules.

Raining or not, that ocean and cloud formation looks magnificent. One should be swimming in the rain, and that includes Michael !
We have heat, a North wind, zero humidity and a high bushfire risk day.
The docteur de bateau (mon ami), is on Kangaroo Island scooping up the garfish.
Fish for dinner on Sunday.

Sorry about your phone lines, hope they will fix them soon so you won't have any trouble getting online.

I just love the second photo in this post. The palm trees in the wind and rain... so exotic to me. :)

That does look wet and cold and windy. :(

We went through that a while ago and it was miserable. We now have a cold front passing through but it hasn't been a wet one. It's mostly windy and chilly.
