Club Med PNG-style

Feel like getting away from the daily grind???
Bookings are now open for the newly opened Club Med - East New Britain.
Great views and natural air-conditioning, but room service can take a while!!!

The last guest was not there when the boat came to pick him up - all that was left was his thong!!!

What happened to him I wonder????

Maybe he just doesn't want to be found????

Hee-hee! 8^) What a great little story. As a little girl, maybe 3 years old, I drew a picture of an atoll that consisted of a hump of sand, a coconut palm, a thatched roof shelter, a stick figure man, the sun and the sea. It was published in the "kid's drawings" page of a little newspaper in Arcadia. I don't know if we still have a copy of that page on file, but I clearly remember the picture. As if all your requirements could be met with such simple components. Perhaps geographers are born, not made. Thanks for this post Jules.

Damn, I like the look of that accommodation, Jules.
The pool is nice and big, too.
The lack of a decent bar might put me off, though.

Sign me up. I'm on my way for some sun and warmth. This summer has been cold in SE. Alaska with temps in the 50's and if lucky the 60's F.

Excellent shots! I have to wonder about the single thong left in the sand! The facilities look lovely, are you accepting bookings already? ; )

If you just leave it on the beach, I'll be right up.
Can't think of anything else i'd need. Not even the beach shelter.
Pays to travel, light !

I love your humor!!!!!!!!!!!!

As regards my old farmer, no, I have not met him yet but if you know one please let me know and I will be happy to meet him and help him plough his fiels or keep his cows. I am not young but still I would give a few remaining years of my life to be able to stay in this country which I love.

Sorry for being such a bad blogger friend for the moment. I don't forget you at all.

Oh how utterly fabulous. Not a soul. The perfect beach, unlike Menton which is currently choc-a-bloc. You are so right, the bikini lady would fit in well on your beach.

Hell, I would!

Idyllic looking setting for a nice vacation. A few weeks on the beach would be wonderful. Forget room service, bring on the G+Ts.

Such a paradise. A beautiful island with nice beach and water and no crowds to disturb you. Whenever I see such photo, I would think of the show "Survivor".

Fabulous looking resort! Seriously, this is exactly where I'd like to be, with no people and all that open space. I don't need a pool or a restaurant or anything if I could just sit on that beach and do nothing. And if Dive doesn't drink everything you bring by, a little nip of something would be nice too! I'll stop by this post often when I need a vacation!

An esky of something cold and alcoholic, shelter from the sun and a beach like that - count me in.

Thanks for the laughs, Jules! That was lovely.

Nup, Jules.
Buggar the lotion.
Ther ain't gunna be no white bits, never, nowhere, neither.
Bit like Tom Hanks in "Castaway'.
You could have called your post, "A Thong called Wilson".
And, I'll be happy to bring an esky of something for young Dive; and some Maltesers.
Benson can do room service ?

I need to rest in a beautiful place like this, beautiful pictures.

Hi All - gosh bookings are nearly full - will be great to see you all!!!

Just behind the "bungalow" in the 2nd picture we found a turtle's nest one day. great spot!!!!!

M B - Maltesers??? Do you float them in gin do you?????

Benson doesn't like water so getting him to swim over with breakfast could be difficult - think we'll have to catch our own.
