Stormy weather
I has been quite humid during the day this week and we have been getting storms and lightning building up out at sea late in the afternoon.

Ah even paradises have their drawbacks when it comes to weather.
Hang on in there!
It's impressive !!! I wish the weather can restore quite soon in the meantime, please, keep dafe !
The winds may be high but that storm photo looks beautiful from the security of my house!
We are still with you all the way girlfriend...even here in the good ole USA I was having computer issues....a pain in the you know where! Lovely picture though.
i started off in india with 4 kb/s on a good day. That was years ago and I was no where near photo blogging.
Nice picture you have here.
Hitch your computer connection to the wind and you'll be posting faster than ever. That sky looks turbulent, and beautiful.
Jules, even with those threaten clouds, I would give anything to be soaking my feet in that cool blue water... How would Olivier from Evry, France say it? Oh yes... assis dans l'eau prenant un bon verre

Still, storm or no storm, it is gorgeous. Stay safe. Oh, and take more of those wonderful views.
Beautiful photo.
Ah jules, thanks so much for thinking of me over the weekend. Our visitor, Hurricane Dean, sure caused a lot of damage to our south coast, but the North coast only suffered minimal damage. Lots of cleaning up though so that's been keeping me really busy!
Still trying to catch up on everybody's blogs. And intermittent electricity and internet connection isn't helping :(
I sure hope your internet connection improves as I can imagine how frustrating it is when it goes sooooo sllloooowwwlllyy.
That's a gorgeous shot with all the changes in color and light. Love the waves, too. Sometimes scary weather can be fascinating, too.
That looks like a nasty storm out to sea. It would scare me to death, to see those and try to get used to them being there on the horizon. I would also be worried all the time about the island sinking. Why would a grown man, as old as I am worry about stuff like that? I have asked my wife several times and her reply is always, "Don't worry about it!"
Gorgeous. Keep safe though.
Great to hear from you all - this afternoon it was cooler and clear with another wonderful Rabaul sunset!!!!
Abraham - your wife is very sensible - please don't worry!!!
Impressive that you continue to post at 16 kb per second ... I like the composition of today's photo. The palm trees give perspective to the storm clouds.
I reckon you have all of nature's wonders in one place.
Whoever used the expression, "commune with nature, face to face', must have spent time in Rabaul.
Thanks for sharing it with us - and just organize that Bloggers conference, we'll all be there.
Hi Jules,
I came to see the dolphins as you suggested but I was captivated by this wonderful picture of stormy weather.
Hope your isp gets the server sorted soon, and thanks for your comments at

Your photo is really quite lovely. Paradise? Yes! Even with potential dangers.
Really impressive view. Are there any kiteboarders seen around?
this photo is absolutely beautiful! I hope that you didn't get to bad of weather from the storm!
Karis - yes we have one guy who does - he lives next door to me.
tara - lots of storms build up over the sea and don't come this way. This storm gave us lots of wind and rain but we were ok.z
